As the Summer approaches vendors set up stall, selling the distinctive bottles from ice-filled containers - the bottles opening with a distinctive pop as the marble top bursts open.
The flavour of ramune is tough to describe, it's origins are with plain old lemonade, but ramune has a much sweeter taste in it's original lemon-lime flavour.
While the original flavour is most commonly available, other flavours such as melon, strawberry, peach and even wasabi also exist.
Ramune is also a popular-flavour for sweets in Japan.
