Milk Tea is very popular in Japan, it's a type of very sweet black tea - made with condensed milk.

It can be drunk hot or cold, and is widely available from konbinis and vending machines throughout Tokyo.
It can also be served with small tapioca balls and is then called pearl milk tea, bubble tea or boba tea.
Milk tea is incredibly delicious - however can taste a little bit strange to a Westerner, as it is esentially just cold, incredibly sweet tea.If you can get over your preconceptions, then I'm sure you'll grow to love it!
